Michael is happily married and a proud father of two.
During the day, he is busy sifting through spreadsheets, crunching numbers, and growing grey hair.
During the evening, he enjoys clicking away at the keyboard, getting lost in a book, and slaying monsters in the closet.

I wasn’t sure what to write to give you more color about me. I googled around to find icebreakers/surveys. I ended up on this team building website with 25 questions, so I’ll answer those. Feel free to answer them back on the Contact page. I’d love to hear from you!
1. At which store would you like to max-out your credit card?
Micro Center. I could spend all day there, but max-out my credit card in minutes 🙁
2. Which storybook/cartoon character turns you on the most?
Wow. I must have skipped over this question when skimming through them. Can I pass? No? If I must pick, Wonder Woman.
3. What was your favorite TV show when growing up?
Dragon Ball Z
4. Choose a movie title for the story of your life.
Some days it is “Kick-Ass”. Other days it is “Despicable Me”
5. What was your favorite toy as a kid?
Does Nintendo count? My Nintendo.
6. How old is the oldest pair of shoes in your closet?
Maybe six years.
7. Can you play any instruments?
Yes. I got my first real six-string, but I didn’t buy it at the five-and-dime. I played until my fingers bled. It was the winter of ’93. :/ Doesn’t have the same ring to it.
8. What is the oldest thing in your refrigerator?
I’m not certain. Perhaps a jar of pickles that has been there for as long as I can remember.
9. What is the nerdiest thing you do in your spare time?
Watch anime.
10. What is your favorite cereal?
I used to be big on Frosted Mini-Wheats. I still like them. But now I opt for the Post: Great Grains brand (raisins, dates, and pecans… yum!)
11. What, if anything, have you ever re-gifted?
I don’t think I ever re-gifted anything.
12. What was the worst punishment you received at school?
I was in the Philippines for a year and I remember getting hit with a yardstick… But I have to say what stuck with me the most was a time in grade school where we would get a pizza party if everyone read a certain amount of books. I wasn’t big into reading then. I didn’t hit my quota. Everyone got pizza, ate in front of me, and I wasn’t allowed to have any. Motherfuckers. brb. ordering a pizza.
13. What’s the strangest talent you have?
I can walk on my toe-knuckles. Kind of weird.
14. What was your childhood nickname?
Mike.
15. Do you have any strange phobias?
Not really.
16. What’s your favorite flavor of Pringles?
Original. Once you pop…
17. Have you ever had a poem or a song written about you?
In high school, all emo songs were about me. Ah… to be young again.
18. Which way does your toilet paper hang on the wall – over or under?
Over. I will not criticize those that hang it under if they own cats. If you hang it under and don’t have a cat, may God have mercy on your soul.
19. What, or who, are you a “closet” fan of?
Taylor Swift… though I haven’t listened to much of her music after the Red album.
20. When did you accept a dare that you later regretted?
I don’t recall. I’m not really one to take dares.
21. What is one thing that all of your love-interests have had in common?
I’m not sure. Each was unique. They all were intelligent and independent. All pale in comparison to my wife, the love of my life.
22. Where and when did you have your first kiss?
I was in grade school. We were in a tree! Michael and Axxxxx sitting in a tree – K-I-S-S-I-N-G. Ah… to be younger than young again.
23. What are three things still left on your bucket list?
As of this writing… publish a novel. Visit the Philippines again. Have grandkids (in maybe 20+ years).
24. If you could have any one superpower, which would you choose?
It’s kind of cheating. Super Epic Brilliance. It would be cool to be so smart that no problem could stump me. That I could learn anything I wanted to very quickly. I could overcome any challenge by thinking things through.
25. What is the worst pet you have ever had?
My cat. She bites.
